Don't Get Caught in the Google Supplemental Results

Getting your pages caught in the Google supp results is deadly for those pages. It means the page has no value contributed to the whole site anymore. This happens by the page never being updated and no links pointing to them.

There are a few simple things you can do to prevent this. First off, try a global change on your site on a regular basis. Change the footer or change the side nav slightly. What this will do is change the page's modified date and make it more current. Another way is to make sure you have good internal linking. Make sure no pages are orphaned. If each page has multiple pages linking to them it is less likely the page will be seen as outdated. Finally, ADD CONTENT to your pages and make sure each and every page is kept up to date with the information site wide. Do not just forget about older page, update them. They have value to the search engines as well as users.
