Full Index to See Ranking Changes
Most people update their homepage with some new information and wait till it gets indexed to see ranking improvements. While that would make sense it is not the case. What SER has noticed is that adjustments to your site do not affect rankings until your site is fully indexed. So, even by editing your home page and having it get indexed, this will not alter any Google results. It takes Google a full site spidering to have your site's organic ranking rankings be affected. So, you can all stop checking everyday for your new content to take affect, because even if a new page gets cached it won't change a thing till the full spider cycle.
This also explains the aging delay. If your new site is not fully indexed then rankings will not show. There is more to the aging delay then just this, but it is important.
