Relevant Waiting
With googles aging delay there comes the waiting game with your new sites. The question is how do you effectively wait and maximize your site at the same time.If your have a new site/domain you need to still develop the site and not just have a "coming soon" or "under construction" page up for the 6-8 months. The aging delay is not just a sit tight time. You need to gradually develop content and links over the 6 months. Besides other engines will rank you sooner and provide you with traffic if you are relevant.
The best way to develop content in a relevant way is to build out topic driven areas on a weakly basis. Even though you will not have rankings in Google and you are not being fully indexed you are still being watched. What I mean by watched is that Google is seeing how your inbound links are developing and if your site is growing in a natural way. Do not overwhelm them with all your content pages at once because that just looks like you are a pre-made site with search engine crafted content. Write as you go and keep your content fresh and new.
As for aging delay link building you want to slowly build your link partnerships and free links. First few months you should slowly submit your site to the free directories. While doing this you should get a few relevant reciprocal links. Google is watching to see if you are trying to force link popularity and pagerank by buying links in mass quantities. Be selective and gradual and you will look and be natural.
Search Engine relevancy is about making sites a dedicated resource for its topic and not creating sites for one hit wonder rankings.
